Congratulations, you are approved to adopt!
Nothing pleases us more than finding wonderful homes such as yours
for a very deserving rescued dog. We hope that once you have
adopted your dog, you will say in touch with us and keep us
updated on how your new companion is settling in. We have a
special page set up on our web site for updates and pictures, so
feel free to share your story with others who have adopted from us
and those who are considering doing so.
Please
read over our Adoption Booklet (web
version) or (Word
version) carefully.
It contains valuable information about your new dog’s transition
into your family. It also has links
to the “Resources”
section of our web site, which includes information about the GSD,
dog training, dog health, and responsible dog ownership. We hope
this helps to make sure your new dog becomes a happy member of
your family.
Someday, perhaps you might decide to do what many of us have done
and become a foster home or volunteer to serve in
another capacity. There are not many more rewarding
things than providing a sanctuary to a dog that has been abandoned
or lost, and we hope you will consider joining us as an
AGSDR Volunteer.
Our
sincere thanks go to your family for providing one of our
wonderful German Shepherd Dogs with a safe and loving forever
home. Most rescued dogs have been through so much in their short
lives, and now your dog may begin the journey back to security and
trust with its new family! Thank you for making this commitment
to a magnificent German Shepherd Dog, and best wishes for a happy
life together!
Sincerely,
AGSDR Volunteers
