Hi,
my name is Emmie and I'm a very sweet girl. I love everybody and
get along with everybody, even other dogs and cats. My foster
mom says I'm the perfect German Shepherd. I love to be around
humans and I will follow you everywhere. We're working on my
leash manners right now because I like to tug a little bit, but
not too much. We're also working on just some basic things like
me sitting and waiting on you to go out the door first and
waiting on you to tell me I can come out of my kennel when you
open the door. I get so excited right now because I just can't
run and play like I want to that I just want to go everywhere
first before you, but I'm learning some of those good manners.
My
foster mom says that I'll be able to run hard and play as soon
as I'm done with the thing called heartworm treatment. I just
don't know why I got these things, but I hope I never get them
again because I don't like having to be so quiet all the time. I
like playing with other dogs and right now I just can't so I'm a
little frustrated about that. She keeps telling me it's for my
own good, but I just wonder at times. Anyway as I said I'm a
really sweet, sweet girl and would love to find my forever home
where someone will just love on me all the time and treat me
like the QUEEN I am. If you'd like to visit me and see what a
good girl I am just fill out an application and one of these
nice volunteer angels will get back with you and maybe I'm just
the girl for you. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you, so
I'll be seenin ya, Emmie
NOTE:
In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids.
In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a
particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL
unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at
all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog,
cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets
can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so
proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any
pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based
solely upon our volunteers' direct experiences with the dog. The
dog's age is an estimate, and statements about the state of
health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with
other animals, children, cats and other dogs, is estimated
solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your
experiences with this dog may be quite different.
