Update 6/30/08
|
I am doing sooo much better
now! My ears are all cleared up, & don't bother
me at all anymore! My foster Mom won't let me
eat anything with yeast, corn or wheat in it, &
that's fine with me, because it keeps me from
being all itchy. I do love to go for walks in
the evening. I do need a little special care,
but I am worth it!

Update 3/24/08
Hopper now weighs 99 lbs, his desired weight. His skin has
cleared up nicely since he started eating a corn &wheat free
food, no more expensive that any other good kibble. His ears are
still a bit of a problem, but should be cleared up soon, after
his last vet visit. He's made remarkable progress--check out his
"before" pictures at the bottom of the page.
He is such a sweet boy, & loves to go for walks. Would you like
to help Hopper's last few years his best?

Hopper
is a sweet old boy who has had a hard life for too long and
deserves a loving home who will help him recover from his
serious sk in
and tooth infections.
He has a HUGE body frame, and as you can see from the pics, he's
a good 30 lbs or so underweight.
Despite it all, this is one sweet and loveable guy!
NOTE:
In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids.
In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a
particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL
unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at
all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog,
cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets
can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so
proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any
pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based
solely upon our volunteers' direct experiences with the dog. The
dog's age is an estimate, and statements about the state of
health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with
other animals, children, cats and other dogs, is estimated
solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your
experiences with this dog may be quite different.
