KingHi, I'm King and I am a great big boy with lots of energy. I weigh about 100 pounds and it is all muscle, so I need an athletic partner who will help me stay fit. I have lots of enthusiasm and love to jump and run, so no kids or couch potatoes for me!

The wonderful folks at Southern Star Ranch have been letting me board with them because there are not any foster homes open right now. I don't get a chance to interact with cats, and the folks there really couldn't predict how I would be with another dog in the home either, but if you have a big female dog, maybe we could meet and see how we get along. I'm very friendly to people, but like I said, I'm big and a little mouthy so I'll need a strong leader to tell me if I'm being pushy (like the lady who came to take my picture, I "goosed" her to say hello because well, that's just what I thought I should do) or impolite.

I promise if you adopt me I'll get you out of bed in the morning for some exercise, and remind you on the weekends that you need to play. I'd love to find a strong, athletic person or couple to take me home, but I need you to promise that you'll sign me up for obedience classes so I'll learn how to put my best paw forward in social situations.

NOTE:  In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids.  In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children.  However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction.  Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species.  Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.

The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' direct experiences with the dog. The dog's age is an estimate, and statements about the state of health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, is estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different.
