Levi
is his name and he is about 5 months old and weighs 45 lbs. He
is mostly black and very handsome. He loves other dogs and
needs to have another dog as a pal as he has some separation
anxiety. He hates being crated and almost kills himself trying
to get out so I do not crate him any longer than it takes to
feed him. He gets carsick - I think this is because he fell out
of the truck, but we are working on this also. He is submissive
to everyone here even my Chihuahua and just wales
if anyone scolds him, including another dog.
He will be neutered tomorrow and has all shots. He will be
microchipped. He loves to play and play and play. I'm going
to start him with some obedience classes next week. His last
visit with the vet said that he is healed, but we will not know
if he has a permanent limp until he is an adult. He seems to
like everyone he meets even kids at this point. I always place
as an inside pet with access to a securely fenced yard. He will
need someone who has the time and patience to deal with puppy
behavior and a very large puppy at that.

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good
with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our
experience with a particular dog and children. However
AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child
interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they
interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny,
lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have
a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so
proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child
and any pet.
