Remmington is a
sweet, smart, wonderful boy, who loves to go on walks. He is
great with other dogs, large & small, but will chase cats, & we
are not sure what he would do if he actually caught one. He
loves children, & would be fine with large or younger ones.
Remmington is crate trained, housebroken, can use a pet & loves
to have lots of chew toys. He would be best crated if left alone
without a pet door, until he is used to his new home, as any
other dog. He knows basic commands & walks well on a leash, but
would have to pass as a jogging partner, at least for a while.

Remington just LOVES humans. He wants to be where you are. He is
not real needy he just digs being around his human. He also
LOVES his crate and will often just hang out in it with the door
open. Car rides are his very favorite thing. He would walk away
from a T-bone steak for a car ride! Remington developed a slight
limp and the vet said it is pan osteitis. He should outgrow it
or it will just go away in a few months. No big deal. It is not
serious but could possibly reappear. But, if it does, again
it should be temporary. The medicine for it is called Metacam.
This guy is worth it! He is energetic when you first come home
but mellows out quickly. He is very handsome and funny too. If
you want a bit of a lower keyed GSD yet still loves to play, go
to the dog park, walk and car ride then Remington is your guy.
Loyal, smart and lots of personality!
NOTE:
In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids.
In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a
particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL
unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at
all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog,
cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets
can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so
proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any
pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based
solely upon our volunteers' direct experiences with the dog. The
