Meet Bruin! This sweet little girl was turned over to a vet clinic after being hit by a car. She had a broken hip, broken pelvis, and internal bleeding. She was also severely underweight and had not been properly cared for. However, after being patched up and nursed back to health, you would never know how much she had gone through. She is now perfectly healthy, happy, and extremely loving in spite of her previous neglect.

She loves to play and run outside. Her favorite thing is her nightly walk. She is very affectionate and will nose at your hand to let you know she is in need of some scratches. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with her housemates. She does very well with my one-year old. She is extremely tolerant of her and never growls or snaps. She would probably do better in a household without a cat, though.

Bruin is quick to learn and eager to please. She has been fully vetted and is heart worm negative. She is current on vaccines and flea and heart worm prevention. Bruin is now searching for her forever family. If you are able to offer her an active and loving home, please contact me at pisem@att.net.

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.

The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' direct experiences with the dog. The dog's age is an estimate, and statements about the state of health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, is estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different.
