Introducing 'Green' and 'Burgundy' These two puppies are very sweet and very intelligent. They currently have access to the back yard through a doggy door, and due to this access, they have no longer been having accidents in the house. They both turned 9 weeks this week and are very playful and active. 'Burgundy' is a light colored female puppy. She is very attentive and loves to be around people. She likes to play with her toys, but prefers them inside, so when the other puppies play with they toys outside, she grabs them and brings them in through the doggie door. She is very smart and learns quickly. Right now she is learning not to jump and not to nibble on people. It is cute now, but in a month or two she will be too big to be doing those. She is also working on basic commands. She already comes when you call her and clap your hands. She does very well with other dogs but she also likes to play and sleep in the yard by herself so she would be okay as a single dog too. 'Green' is a dark colored male puppy. Green likes to be around people, but he also likes to sleep. Green likes to take the toys that burgundy brings in the house, and take them back outside, as he likes to play in the grass. 'Green' is intrigued by water bowls and often will 'slap' the water with his paws while he is taking a drink. He also learns very quickly and is working on his basic commands and manners. He also comes when called if you clap your hands. 'Green' likes to be with other dogs and likes to cuddle with them. Both of these puppies would make great family dogs and love to be around humans. If you are looking for a puppy to raise into a great companion, come meet 'Green' and 'Burgundy'. They would love to introduce themselves to you and have a chance at winning your heart.

Introducing Puppies "Pink" and "Blue" Bio: We are so lucky that a nice lady rescued our Mom from a shelter even though she was pregnant! We came from a litter of 10 and our foster Mom says we are adorable and many people are going to see our pictures and fall in love instantly. Last night we stayed in a crate together since it was our first night away from our big family and we did great! We didn't cry at all...and no messes in the kennel...and when foster dad got up he let us out to take care of business. We are puppies but we are sooo smart already. "Pink" girl is a lover and wants to be held and cuddled, while "Blue" boy loves to find sticks in the yard. We like when kids come over because they hold us. Our foster Mom has 5 BIG dogs, but we weren't scared of them (well maybe at first because they were so BIG)...but we just want to play! Maybe you are looking for some puppies to add to your family? We would love a forever home!!.

These puppies are the offspring of Freya on the available Females page. There are 10 puppies total!! It appears that both mom and dad were German Shepherds. Freya was found as a stray in Houston already 7 weeks pregnant. The puppies were born on April 4, 2012. They are all healthy happy little ones. There are 6 dark puppies and 4 lighter puppies. 6 girls and 4 boys. Each of the color patterns has 2 boys. The puppies are currently identified by the color of their collars, but they all have small features to distinguish them from their siblings and they are all developing their own little personalities. There are some sleepy puppies, some energetic puppies, and some in the middle. Some like to talk and others are generally quiet. Some are more reserved and others are very outgoing. They are all intrigued by whistling and hand clapping and are starting to come when called.
They have begun potty training with puppy pads, some have caught on quicker than others. They all love to play outdoors and will not use the porch as a potty, they always go out and use the grass. They have been handled multiple times a day since birth and are very comfortable around humans. They have been introduced to tile, hardwood, carpet, concrete, grass, and every other surface we have around the house. They have also been introduced to and played with the two resident dogs at the house and play very well with them.
Every puppy adopted will come with a puppy baby book with some pictures of them from birth to 8 weeks, a lambswool blanket that will be put with them and their litter a few days before they go home (so they have their family's scent with them) and a printout of their date, time, and order of birth, the dates of all their wormings and shots, and their weights at that time. If you want a puppy to raise as your own, and save a life at the same time, consider visiting these puppies and adopting one!!
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
