Hannah is a 5-6 year old female German shepherd. She was rescued after being found in the country with a litter of puppies. The puppies have been adopted and now Hannah is looking for a home. She was heartworm positive and had a touch of mange. She has now been spayed and treated for the heartworms and is ready for adoption. Hannah has been good with the other dogs she has encountered and when presented with several cats was curious but did not seem aggressive. She already knew some commands when we got her – she likes to sit and shake and walks on leash well. She rides in the car well. She is a very happy energetic and sweet dog. She is alert and attentive.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
