When Rambo's owner passed away, he was turned in to a kill shelter. He was born in December 2008, and is a very large but very sweet boy. He will crawl up on your lap if you let him, and he loves pets and attention. Rambo will follow you around, especially if you are in the kitchen. Once the family sits down to eat, he doesn't beg. He doesn't try to lay on furniture or jump on beds, and so far has shown to be house-broken. He is generally well-behaved, but does need to learn some manners. He's house-broken and gets along very well with the older GSD that lives here. He is very interested in the cat, so we have not allowed them to be in the same room yet. Rambo has been on a couple walks and has done very well on leash (very little pulling or trouble), which is wonderful because he's very strong. This beautiful dog will not last long, so get those applications in quickly!
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
