Lacey is very quick to pick up on commands and loves to snuggle. Her vocabulary of words she understands grows by the day and she enjoys playing 'hide and seek' with her toys. Lacey is an alpha female and will test boundaries, as most very intelligent, dominant shepherds do, so she needs an owner that will be her leader. She is friendly towards all people and loves to say hi to everyone! Lacey loves chasing squirrels in the backyard and has a medium energy level. No cohabitation with any cats for this girl. She loves going for walks and pulls some on her leash at the beginning of her walks, but calms down after a few minutes. Lacey loves riding in the car and being a part of your day. She is very trustworthy in the house and will make a wonderful companion, adventure dog and family member. She is a healthy, active young lady. If you are interested in learning more about Lacey, please fill out our online application here: https://forms.gle/fXPLCeGhpAxvu7Ws8 . Please only Central Texas resident inquiries. We usually ask potential donors to fill out our application then we will reach out to them after we review it. Our contact information is info@poundpups.org and 512-832-4101.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
