Luna is a lovely German Shepherd girl. She is an eye catcher and quite sweet.
Luna can be aloof when she first meets a new person and will take time to warm up to her human. She just needs the commitment from that special someone who is patient and gives her the time she needs to develop her trust. Having another canine companion is very important to help her through this comfort zone. She is a beautiful but sensitive girl needing the pure commitment only the love of family provides. Luna begins as an observer from a distance until she feels comfortable and safe in her environment, and her people will need to understand this and help her.
Luna loves playing with other canines and will need an adoption home with other dogs. She is house and crate trained; loves her car rides and very motivated. She loves going on walks and exploring sidewalks, paths, parks, and for her it is a giant sniff fest! She does have a basket full of toys but loves chewing her split antler the best. When she selects a toy from the toy basket to chew on, she will chew until she is bored, distracted, or falls asleep. She is very good at independent play. She is a wonderful house guest and settles quietly, really enjoys her walks.
Luna would love to have a calm, confident, and playful dog sibling to continue to help her learn the ropes of a luxurious life. A dog of comparable size and energy would be the best companion. A calm, quiet home environment without children, but filled with patience and love, will be Luna’s ideal match.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
