My name is Xena. I was born 02/15/2025. I weigh 57 pounds and a mixed shepherd breed. I have had all my shots and was spayed and microchipped. I am registered with HomeAgain on their Pet Recovery Database. I am currently being fostered by Ron and Debby in Elgin, Texas.
I am very active and love to run and play with my pink pig and chase balls/toys. I had lived an isolated life and was not socialized or trained. I had a trainer come to help teach me some basic commands. I am extremely smart and learn fast but I also have a stubborn streak. I am very loving and have moments where I like to cuddle and get petted/brushed. I love my kennel, which is my happy place and refuge.
I will make a great companion for someone who is willing to invest the time training me and enjoys the learning ability of shepherd breeds. Because I am intelligent, learn quickly, have considerable energy and focus, they think I have the potential to possibly be a search and rescue dog or some type of a working dog.
There is a $50 adoption fee.

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
